This is a stunning vintage handmade Persian Kerman. Hand-knotted in the 1970s, this rug has minor areas of distress which makes it a great deal for such a large fine quality rug. Hand-knotted with fine quality wool and a high knot count or KPSI (knots per square inch), the rug has exquisite detail in the medallion, corners and border. The rich cherry red open field is an elegant backdrop for the most exquisite floral sprays & bouquets in royal blue, ballet slipper and carnation pink, pale peach, mint green, olive green, cornflower and azure blue, fern green, ivory, champagne, sky blue and other elegant colors, all made from only vegetable and other natural dyes. The details are so finely woven they appear to be painted onto the rug's rich red open field. The distress is a slight curve on one edge of the rug and small white spots and other minor imperfections in the open field. See photos for details. This rug can withstand high traffic and will last generations. Size: 9'4"x12'8"
