This stunning antique Persian Kashan is an exceptional quality collector's piece in mint condition. It can also be hung as a tapestry.  This rug was hand-knotted in the 1940s by master weavers and is still in mint condition.  The design is known as  "Tree of Life", a pictorial floral and vine design in intricate and abundant detail, full of bouquets and sprays in symmetrical patterns and exquisite colorful birds on trees and branches.  This rug was made  with extremely fine wool made from the softest parts of the lamb, fine silk and a high knot count for precise details (KPSI, knots per square inch).  The superior craftsmanship and attention to detail is breathtaking.  The rug still has an even and full, soft pile which is extremely rare for a rug of its age.  The elegant designs rest on a lush royal blue background with a rich crimson border.  You will get lost in the bird details, the bouquets of roses and other colorful flowers, and the peaceful pastoral scene at the center of the rug. The colors used to define these incredible details are made from natural and vegetable dyes, in shades of sapphire, ivory, coral, lemonade pink, shell pink, mint green, sky blue, indigo, sapphire blue, orange, yellow, pale peach, plum, steel blue, shell pink and countless other colors.  The crimson border has a gorgeous complementary floral and vine pattern made of all of the rug's incredible colors.  This is a true one of a kind gem that will be artwork for the floor or equally special hung on the wall.
