This is an exquisite collector's piece. A handmade Persian Kashan Dabir from the 1940s in mint condition. Exquisite craftsmanship by master weavers, a high knot count or KPSI (knots per square inch) and a beautiful design make this a rare find in this condition, with a low even pile. The colors are as vibrant as though they were created yesterday, although they are antique colors that only come from natural and vegetable dyes. The backdrop is a lush currant jam, the central medallion is azure blue and midnight blue, and the floral sprays and leaf and vine motifs are hand-knotted in moss and lime green, pink, peach and yellow, fruit punch, sea green, olive green, and sapphire. This stunning piece can withstand traffic and would make a beautiful accent rug or tapestry.
