Yellow Flowers

This is a stunning handmade vintage Persian Kashan of the finest quality in mint condition. Hand-knotted in the 1960s by master weavers, this rug is made from Manchester wool, an extremely high quality wool that comes from the softest parts of the lamb. It is handmade with superior craftsmanship, a high knot count (or KPSI, knots per square inch) and only vegetable and other natural dyes. The traditional floral and medallion design is exquisitely woven in intricate details by hand on a lush cherry red background with a spectacular medallion of azure blue, ocean blue, carnation pink, orange, bronze, ivory and fruit punch, all colors which appear prominently throughout the rug. The delicate flourishes and floral details are breathtaking.  This rug was likely woven for aristocracy and could have easily been made for a palace.  Floral sprays and bouquets fill the red open field, leading to the corners that match the medallion perfectly before the rug's beautiful border, hand-knotted in ocean blue and framed by thin rows of ivory and azure blue. All of these layers have glorious garlands of flowers on the vine, adding sea green, yellow, coral, turquoise, ballet slipper pink and countless other stunning colors. Size:  8'6"x13'9"
