This handmade fine quality antique small Persian Kashan is a true gem. This medallion design is known as a traditional Koranic design and is often the decoration on the cover of a Koran. The beautiful shade of blue that makes up the open-field is closer to royal blue than navy with floral and medallion fine details in periwinkle, ivory, and sea green with taupe, cranberry and pale peach accents.  This rug is made using only natural, vegetable dyes. Hand-knotted in the 1970s, it is in mint condition with a full pile and a high knot count.  The short fringe is uniquely woven on the long sides of the rug.  This rug would make a beautiful gift, accent rug, wall hanging or prayer rug.  Size: 2'4"x3'4"
