This is an exquisite and rare handmade pictorial Persian Kashan  that would also make a beautiful tapestry or wall hanging.  Hand-knotted in the late 1800s, this rug is still in excellent condition with a low even pile and slight distress, but no holes, tears or patches and all of the bindings and edges are fully intact.  Fine craftsmanship, high knot count and a beautiful picturesque pictorial design make this a rare find, especially in this condition.  The colors are vibrant and unique, the ones that only come from natural antique dyes and have the unique patina of age.  A rich, warm burgundy and a midnight blue border form the backdrops for countless intricate floral and vine designs and a beautiful window onto a detailed architectural motif.   Sky blue, pale pink, mint green, moss, olive, silver, peach, sapphire, fern green, pale orange, azure blue, pale orange, copper and gold are just some of the amazing olors, all made from only vegetable and other natural dyes.  Size: 4'2"x6'9"
