This is a vintage top quality handmade traditional Persian Kashan. Hand-knotted in the 1990s, the rug is in mint condition.   Made with superior craftsmanship by master weavers, the rug has only vegetable and other natural dyes and fine quality wool made from the softest parts of the lamb.  The classic oriental floral and medallion design is hand-knotted in exquisite detail and elegant shades of blue.  The medallion consists of pale sky blue and sand concentric layers with sapphire, midnight blue, cream, marigold, orange, crimson, taupe and chocolate accents.  The rug is cream colored, with a gorgeous floral and vine pattern in all of the above colors, with sapphire and cornflower blue sprays and bouquets of flowers and garlands symmetrically hand-knotted.  The corners echo the medallion with sand and sky blue that leads to the border, a perfect compliment to the rug on a sand backdrop with a garland of flowers in all of the rug's colors.  Thin creamrows of tiny blue and white flowers on the vine surround the border, which ends in a cream edge.
