This is handmade vintage traditional Persian Kashan of the finest quality and in mint condition. Hand-knotted in the 1980s, this rug has a full soft pile throughout with no imperfections. It can withstand high traffic and will continue to last for generations. Made with very fine quality wool, a high knot count or KPSI (knots per square inch) and superior craftsmanship, this rug has exquisite details and brilliant colors.  A traditional floral and medallion design is intricately woven on a rich cherry red background with concentric medallions and borders in ivory, cornflower blue and a deep violet royal blue. The elegant flowers and vines, sprays and bouquets burst forth in an array of striking spring shades: cornflower blue, shell pink, dusty rose, marigold, orange, lime green, coral, olive, sea green, copper and countless other vivid colors that pop, all made from only vegetable and other natural dyes.  The royal blue border has a complementary larger floral and vine design in the same brilliant colors, framed by thin ribbons of charming small flowers on ivory and cornflower blue.
