This antique Kashan is over 100 years old. It's a Mohtasham Kashan, one of the rarest types of Kashan, which were woven until the end of the 19th century. Mohtashams are considered the elite of Persian rugs, woven with a luminous type of lamb's wool and extraordinarily fine knots. The design is an all-over flower and leaf pattern in a formal, elegant pattern in the richest of colors creating a rug that bursts with color and light. This is truly a rare museum piece, especially becuase of its mint condition. Size: 4'4"x6'7"
