This rug is truly a museum piece - an extremely high quality semi-antique Kashan rug made of Manchester Wool, also known as kork, the wool that comes from the softest parts of a lamb. It is a signed piece in mint condition, which means the weaver's name is woven into the rug (see close-up picture). This is the signature of one of Iran's master weavers and this signature indicates exceptional quality and craftsmanship. The Kashan has a stunning traditional central medallion that radiates throughout the rug. The background is ivory and the floral and vine design is woven in sage, sky blue, mint, cranberry and countless other colors that harmonize beautifully in this delicate design. Size: 8'9"x13'
