Rare for its quality, provenance and spectacular color, this is a handmade vintage Persian Joseghan from the 1980's. It is in mint condition and made from extremely high quality wool, with fine craftsmanship and a high knot count (KPSI, knots per square inch). The formal medallion design has tribal floral motifs throughout in a garden of spring colors, all made from only vegetable and other natural dyes. The background is an incredible shade of sapphire blue that appears azure blue in the light. Ivory and dark coral forme the border and corners and are decorated in mint green, pale yellow, purple, teal, gold and countless other colors. Size: 7'8"x12'
