This palace size rug is an antique Persian "Imperial" Kerman.  The striking aquamarine open field has an intricate floral central medallion and complementary border and corners.  The floral design is a veritable spring garden in full bloom with pink, dusty rose, ivory, fuchsia, sapphire, sky blue, periwinkle, mint green and countless other colors, all made from only vegetable and other natural dyes.  This antique is in mint condition, hand-knotted in the 1970's.  Fine quality, high knot count (see images of the back of the rug), and a soft, full pile.
