This handmade vintage Persian Hosseinabad runner has an intricate tribal and floral design in a rich color palette made with only vegetable and other natural dyes. It is a fine quality rug with a few areas of color running, which is what makes it "distressed".  These minor irregularities also make this runner a great bargain, and add to the runner's authenticity as a handmade one of a kind piece.  The pile is full, sturdy and soft, and it is great for high traffic areas and will last for generations.  The central medallion is a beautiful ivory flower resplendent with jewel tone petals and small flowers.   Crimson, orange, lemonade pink, peach, royal blue, walnut and midnight blue are the accent colors for the medallion and they continue throughout the crimson red open field, creating intricate floral and tribal details surrounding a lattice-like pattern. Additional vibrant colors join the runner's palette, from fern green to sapphire blue, almond to plum and countless others, all made from only vegetable and other natural dyes.  The ivory corners lighten the runner and echo the medallion with their colorful tribal floral details. The border is a caramel frame with a charming geometric floral and vine garland in all the colors of the rug, surrounded by crimson rows with colorful wavelike motifs.
