This handmade vintage Persian Hosseinabad runner has an intricate tribal and floral design with a beautiful central medallion. It is known as "gallery size" for the ratio between width and length, making it a wide runner that is perfect for entrances, bedsides, hallways, etc. It can also be used as an area rug for large narrower spaces, such as in front of a couch or at the foot of a bed. The rug is in mint condition, handmade in the 1970s. The central medallion is the floral heart of the rug in the palest shade of chartreuse and resplendent with its pastel colored jewel-like petals of mint green, pale pink, turquoise and orange. These colors are the main accent colors of the rug's trellis-like details and intricate geometric shapes, adding a stunning lavender to the mix, all resting on the watermelon backdrop. The ribbons of border add yet another layer of intricacy and floral and tribal detail. This rug is handmade with a full and soft pile that can withstand high traffic and will last generations. Size: 5'1"x10'9"
