This vintage Persian Hosseinabad runner was hand-knotted in the 1980s and is in mint condition. This runner is great for high traffic areas, handmade with a notably soft and sturdy, thick and cushy pile that will last for generations. The rich colors of this rug are made with only vegetable and other natural dyes. The backdrop is a muted watermelon red and the runner is full of brilliant accent colors that complete the center medallion, the intricate floral and geometric lattice-like design, and the corners and border. The medallion is an ivory diamond with a flower of red, turquoise, indigo, gold, white, burgundy and sage green, edged with midnight blue and charcoal. The tiny floral and tribal details that revolve around the sage green lattice like motifs are hand-knotted in all the colors of the medallion, plus royal blue, yellow and shell pink. The ivory corners and thin edging before the border lighten and brighten the rug. The border has its own charming floral and vine pattern in the same shades, surrounded by several thin rows that add color and pattern all the way to the edge. Size: 3'11"x10'7"
