This vintage handmade Persian Hosseinabad runner has an allover tribal & floral design in a beautiful color palette of red, pinks and greens.  Hand-knotted in the 1980s, it is in mint condition and fine quality.  Handmade of fine quality wool, this village-made tribal runner has a soft and sturdy pile that is great for high traffic areas and will last generations. The background is barn red and the repeating small geometric and flower motifs are hand-knotted in lime green, sage green, turquoise, pale shell pink, pink coral, charcoal, silver and countless other colors, punctuated by black and white. This creates an intricate allover design that revolves around a stunning central flower medallion.  The flower is watermelon pink and shell pink with a dramatic black layer, and colorful small accents in turquoise and peach, white and sage.  The border is a special feature of the runner, a white frame that brighten and lightens the rug, full of colorful flowers on the vine, surrounded by thin rows of pink and green.  All colors are made from only vegetable & other natural dyes.  The runner has a lovely abrash, the natural variation in dyes that occurs in handmade vintage runners.  Size: 3'7"x9'10"
