This handmade very fine quality vintage Persian Hosseinabad runner has an intricate tribal and floral design in a beautiful and rich color palette of watermelon pink with primary accents in silver, gray and white, enhanced by many other wonderful colors. It is in mint condition, handmade with a notably thick, full, soft and sturdy pile that is cushy underfoot, can withstand high traffic and will last generations.  The rug is hand-knotted by expert tribal weavers and the quality is evident in the precise details. The central medallion is the floral heart of the runner, an ivory flower with watermelon, silver, carnation pink, sapphire blue, peach and plum petals and accents. These are the colors that continue throughout the runner, creating intricate floral and tribal details around a lattice-like pattern in pale gray and charcoal. The ivory corners mirror the medallion with their tribal flower petals while they lighten and brighten the runner and pick up on the ivory accents throughout the rug. The striking charcoal and plum border is  special feature of this piece, the charcoal center with its beutiful floral and vine pattern in all the colors of the rug, framed by plum rows of watermelon flowers on the vine.  All colors are made from only vegetable and other natural dyes.  Size:  3'9"x10'10"
