This handmade very fine quality vintage Persian Hosseinabad runner has an intricate tribal and floral design in a beautiful and rich color palette of watermelon pink with primary accents in sapphire, rosewood and pink coral, enhanced by many other wonderful colors. It is in mint condition, handmade with a full, soft and sturdy pile that can withstand high traffic and will last generations. The rug is hand-knotted with a high knot count or KPSI (knots per square inch) for very crisp, precise details, as the photos display so clearly. The central medallion is the floral heart of the runner, an ivory flower with a sapphire edge and a rosewood, sage green, silver and taupe center with petals of sapphire and walnut pink coral and plum. These are the colors that continue throughout the runner, creating intricate floral and tribal details around a lattice-like pattern in sage green. The ivory corners and border lighten and brighten the runner and pick up on the ivory accents throughout the rug. The corners have tribal flower petals that mirror the medallion, and lead into the striking plum border with an ivory center and a repeating geometric design in silver, sapphire and shades of pink. All colors are made from only vegetable and other natural dyes.
