This handmade vintage Persian Hosseinabad runner has an intricate tribal and floral design that revolves around a central flower medallion with matching corners. The rug was handmade in the 1980s with a notably thick, full and soft pile that can withstand high traffic and will last generations. It is cushy underfoot. The central cream colored medallion has a beautiful geometric flower at the heart of the rug, hand-knotted in carnation pink, turquoise, fruit punch, peach, salmon, silver and purple, colors which create tiny charming motifs in the matching cream corners. These colors continue as the accent colors of the runner's intricate trellis-like details and geometric small flowers and other motifs, adding countless additional colors to the mix for the infinite details: rosewood, steel blue, burgundy, charcoal, shell pink, sky blue, just to name a few. All of these details rest on a rich midnight blue backdrop. The ribbons of border add yet another layer of intricacy and beauty with their charming small pinwheel flowers on ribbons of almond and fruit punch, showcasing all of the runner's gorgeous colors.
