This fine quality vintage Persian Hosseinabad runner was handmade with a highly detailed tribal design in finely knotted intricate details that fill the rug with paisleys (or botehs, the ancient tribal precursor to paisley), small flowers on the vine and other geometric motifs.  The rug is made with fine quality wool and a sturdy weave that is great for high traffic areas and will continue to last generations.  The colors are noteworthy for their unique and beautiful spring-like shades, all made from only vegetable and other natural dyes.  Watermelon pink is the background color for the small floral and tribal motifs hand-knotted in turquoise, shell pink,carnation pink, sky blue, chartreuse, violet, camel, peach, walnut, purple, mint green, ballet slipper pink and countless other colors that really pop.  These revolve around a delicate central medallion, a purple diamond at the center of the runner with a tribal flower design in many of the colors of the rug.  The border is a spectacular design element, with its chartreuse frame of colorful charming flowers on the vine surrounded by two purple rows of  brightly colored paisleys and wave-like motifs.  All colors are made from only vegetable and other natural dyes.  Size: 3'4"x9'11"
