This handmade vintage Persian Hosseinabad runner has a tribal and floral allover design with intricate details and stunning colors. It is in mint condition, handmade in the 1980s with a soft and sturdy full pile that can withstand high traffic and will last generations. The allover design is a geometric lattice-like pattern with highly detailed small floral and tribal motifs. Watermelon red is a beautiful backdrop for the bright sapphire blue lattice-like design that provides the frame for the highly ornamented pattern. Small flowers and other geometric motifs are hand-knotted in turquoise, shell pink rosewood pink, heather gray, bright white, tangerine, silver, aquamarine and countless other colors, all made from only vegetable and other natural dyes. The white border lightens and brightens the rug, and showcases the accent colors with a larger geometric pattern that resembles flowers on the vine in all of the rug's vibrant colors, framed by thin ribbons of rosewood with colorful paisley-like motifs known as botehs, the ancient tribal precursor to the modern paisley. Size: 3'6"x10'2"
