This handmade fine quality vintage Persian Hosseinabad runner has an allover tribal and geometric intricate design with dramatic colors.  It is in mint condition, handmade in the 1980s.  The background is hard-to-find black, a dramatic contrast for the bright white border, accents and interior frame. The lattice-like design that provides the frame for the small flowers and other motifs that adorn this striking runner is sage green and mustard.  The details unfold in shades of pistachio, bright sapphire blue, rosewood pink and shell pink, all punctuated by bright white.  These colorful tribal accents continue in the complementary design of the fantastic border, which starts with a thin white stripe of rosewood and pistachio small circles, followed by bright sapphire stripes that surround a rosewood stripe on either side of the thick  white ribbon of beautiful larger geometric flower and vine repeating motifs, using all the colors of the rug. These colors really come to life against the white backdrop, which also lightens and brightens the runner.  This is a fine quality and sturdy runner, handmade with a full pile that can withstand high traffic and will last generations.  Great for kitchens, bedrooms, children's rooms, entrances, hallways, this versatile piece is a gem.  Size: 3'5"x9'8"
