This handmade fine quality vintage Persian Hosseinabad runner is a moody shade of midnight blue with an intricate tribal and floral design and a spectacular central medallion. It has a full, soft pile that can withstand high traffic and will last generations.  The flower at the heart of the rug is reminiscent of a stained glass rose window. The ivory backdrop has a coral, olive green and gold center, with midnight blue petals and pink coral accents leading to sage green and shell pink flowers with lilac and rosewood.  These colors that continue throughout the deep blue backdrop, creating intricate floral and tribal details that revolve around a lattice-like pattern that shifts from coral to olive to sapphire and pink.  There are countless other colors in this sophisticated palette, and you can get lost in the details. The ivory corners mirror the medallion, with colorful floral details, and they lighten and brighten the rug along with the ivory border.  Resplendent with its own larger tribal flowers on the vine in all of the colors of the rug, the ivory provides a canvas for the colors to really shine. Framed by thin rosewood  stripes with small tribal paisleys, known as botehs, and other small motifs, the pattern extends to the very edge with a sapphire, coral and gold small triangle repeat.
