This is a vintage handmade Persian Hosseinabad runner in mint condition. Its tribal, intricate geometric allover design with colorful small floral details in lattice-like and nomadic motifs is a hallmark of rugs from this region. Hand-knotted in the 1970's, this rug is in mint condition. The full soft pile and sturdy village weave is great for high traffic areas and this runner will last generations. The raspberry red backdrop hosts charcoal gray lattice-like motifs with intricate details in periwinkle, pink, royal blue, peach, sea green, burgundy, steel blue and other vivid colors, all made from only vegetable and other natural dyes. The borders are ivory ribbons with the same colors in tiny floral and vine motifs. Size: 2'6"x9'11"
