This handmade vintage Persian Hosseinabad runner has an allover tribal and floral design. It is in mint condition, handmade in the 1980s. The background is a delicious watermelon pink and the delicate central medallion is a midnight blue diamond with colorful accents that continue throughout the runner's field, with lattice-like designs in grass green and tribal flowers and other small motifs in bright powder blue, taupe, ivory, midnight blue, white, camel, cranberry and countless other colors only made from natural dyes. The border is unique and playful with its own geometric repeating designs that resemble hyeroglyphics on an ivory background that lightens and brightens the rug. Note the charming animals in the border with their taupe bodies and tiny black feet. This runner is handmade with a full pile that can withstand high traffic and will last generations. This runner has abrash on one end, the natural variation in color that occurs uniquely in handmade vintage vegetable dye rugs. This gives it character and authenticity, showing its truly unique handmade nature. Size: 3'1"x9'8"
