This handmade vintage Persian Hosseinabad runner is in mint condition, handmade in the 1980s with spectacular colors, fine quality wool and expert craftsmanship.  It has a notably thick, soft, plush pile that is heavenly underfoot, can withstand high traffic and will last generations.  The intricate tribal and floral design has a beautiful flower diamond medallion as its focal point with an ivory backdrop against which the saturated shades of ruby pink, silver, plum, lemonade pink and violet blue really pop.  The  backdrop of the runner is violet blue, a striking canvas that is filled to the brim with pattern and color in predominantly similar shades of pink, silver and plum.  The corners are ruby pink with tribal floral and vine patterns to match the medallion.  The ivory border really brightens and lightens the runner, and its gorgeous floral and vine pattern adds another layer of depth to the rug's decorative features. The border is surrounded by thin ruby pink rows with their own charming small colorful flower and leaf garlands and a final repeating wave motif at the very edge.
