This handmade vintage Persian Hosseinabad has an intricate tribal and geometric design that revolves around a delicate central medallion.  The rug is in mint condition, handmade in the 1980s by expert tribal weavers using fine quality wool and only vegetable and other natural dyes.  The rich cherry red backdrop is the perfect setting for intricate details in all the colors of the rainbow. The central medallion is the tribal heart of the rug, a stunning display of geometric artistry in bold colors and fine details  on an ivory backdrop so the colors really pop.  Midnight blue, bright pink, raspberry, lemonade pink, orange, hunter green, wine, lavender, sea green and countless other colors create the medallion, colors which continue throughout the rug's details and intricate geometric and tribal flower shapes that adorn a lattice-like pattern in sea green. Additional shades of purple, royal blue, magenta, steel blue and others add to this beautiful rug, bursting with pattern and color. The ivory corners and accents brighten and lighten the rug, while their whimsical colorful animal details add a new layer of intrigue.  The border is yet another special feature of this rug, a repeating motif that almost resembles a giant turtle, framing the rug with every color imaginable, and finished off with thin ivory edges. This rug is handmade with a full and soft pile that can withstand high traffic and will last generations.
