This is a vintage handmade Persian Hosseinabad accent rug in mint condition from the 1970s.  The tribal, intricate geometric allover design is hand-knotted with colorful small floral details in lattice-like and nomadic motifs.  The full soft pile and sturdy village weave is great for high traffic areas and will last generations.   The strawberry red backdrop hosts heather green and ivory patterns with bright cerulean blue that appears almost purple against the red.  The other vibrant accent colors are rose pink, cherry red, burgundy, lime green, azure blue, copper and other vivid colors, all punctuated with black and made from only vegetable and other natural dyes. The more you look, the more colors you find.  The borders are ivory ribbons with charming flowers and other small motifs in the same beautiful colors.  This rug will add a pop of color and comfort to any small space, and would also be a great gift!
