This vintage Persian Heriz was handmade in the 1980's in a classic Heriz design of a geometric and tribal pattern with a striking central medallion. The brilliant jewel tones are extraordinary, all made from only vegetable and other natural dyes. Dark ruby red, bright white and azure blue are hand-knotted to create the open fields and the dominant accent colors, with midnight blue, copper, burgundy, and indigo blue with touches of silver creating many of the tribal and floral details. Great for high traffic, this rug is thick, dense and sturdy with a soft and full pile. It will last generations. This rug is reduced in price as it is slightly irregular - the rug curves slightly on one side, making it uneven in length and width in some areas. There is also some minor color running, as shown in the photo. These areas of distress give the rug the authentic charm of a handmade one of a kind rug. Size: 6'10"x10'3"
