This vintage Persian Heriz was handmade in the 1970's in a classic geometric and tribal design with a striking central medallion. The gradations and variations of color are extraordinary, all made from only vegetable and other natural dyes. Cornflower blue, watermelon, raspberry, sky blue, salmon, coral, ballet slipper pink, shell pink, dusty rose, gray, taupe, cherry red, ivory, bubble gum pink, copper and countless other colors create intricate floral and tribal motifs throughout the rug and its borders. The rug has areas of abrash, the natural variation in color that occurs in handmade antique vegetable dye rugs. Great for high traffic, this rug is thick, dense and sturdy with a soft and full pile. It will last generations. This rug is reduced in price as it is slightly irregular - the rug curves slightly on either side, making it uneven in length and width in some areas. Size: 7'5"x 10'8"
