Yellow Flowers

This is a distressed vintage Persian Heriz with intricate geometric details and beautiful, rich colors. This rug was handmade in the 1970's and it has a notably thick, soft, cushy pile that will withstand high traffic and continue to last for generations. The distress lies in several areas of very low pile and an imperfect fringe. The rug's worn and well-loved vintage look is what makes this handmade gem such a great bargain.  The classic geometric design with a prominent central medallion is a hallmark of Heriz rugs.  The intricate details and the remarkably vivid colors that harmonize so beautifully throughout have that unique patina that only comes from vintage handmade rugs that use vegetable dyes. The tribal flower center is indigo, royal blue, cherry red, bright pink, white, sage green and midnight blue.  This is surrounded by a cherry red layer with a vine life motif in royal blue. The next layer is white, which lightens and brightens the rug and showcases the colors. Geometric leaf-like motifs adorn the white corners in all of the above mentioned colors, leading to the final complementary corner which is another special feature of this rug. The thick ocean blue border, framed by thin rows of sage green with red and blue motifs, has a charming arrow motif that repeats in pink and blue with sage green accents, interconnected by a pink ribbon.  The areas of distress add to the authentic one of a kind nature of this sweet rug.
