This is a spectacular and unique vintage Persian Heriz accent rug with intricate floral details and brilliant colors. It was handmade in the 1970's and it is extremely fine quality and in mint condition. Great for high traffic, this rug has a full, soft and sturdy and pile that will continue to last generations.   The rug was hand-knotted by expert tribal weavers in a classic design with a prominent medallion and amazing colorful flower details, not to mention the dramatic midnight blue background.  The central floral medallion is crimson, ivory and carnation pink, with intricate details in sapphire blue, sky blue, sage green.  This leads to the midnight blue open field, resplendent with small pink and blue flowers in sprays and bouquets with additional accents in orange, taupe, shell pink and azure blue. The ivory corners  with azure blue mirror the center of the medallion and lighten and brighten the rug, drawing your eye to the border, a perfect complement and elegant frame for the rug.  The crimson border echoes the medallion, with its own unique floral and vine garland in pale shades of pink and blue.  All colors are made from only vegetable and other natural dyes.   Size: 3'3"x5'
