This is a rare antique Persian Heriz handmade rug, uniquely almost square. Handwoven in the late 1940's, the rug has a tribal and geometric floral design with unique details - tiny animals and tiny flowers - in the open field and beautiful borders. The rug is very slightly distressed with slight color variations from age and natural dyes, a small tear and an even low pile. Rustic red, pink, deep indigo, white and cornflower blue combine to create a gorgeous rug.
