Yellow Flowers

This one's for the red & purple lovers! This vintage handmade tribal Persian Hamedan runner has a classic geometric design with a row of five medallions with small tribal details.  The medallions are all purple, a beautiful contrast against the red backdrop.  Hand-knotted in the 1980s, this rug was made with fine craftsmanship and a sturdy full pile that can withstand high traffic and will continue to last generations. It has minor areas of distress, where the pile has imperfections (see last photo for close up).  This makes it a great bargain for a fine quality handmade rug. The colors are made from only vegetable and other natural dyes.  The purple geometric medallions are known as 'guls', and often represent natural elements such as lakes or mountains. The tribal flower and tree details within and surrounding the purple are hand-knotted in pink, green, peach, white and rosewood, colors that appear again in the border. The runner's red open field is dotted with a few additional geometric accents that complement the medallions perfectly.   The border is a special feature of this rug, three rows of colorful geometric shapes and accents against camel, rosewood and purple.  Size: 3'2"x9'8"
