This handmade vintage Persian Hamedan runner has an allover colorful tribal & geometric design on a dramatic black background. It is made with fine lambswool, which makes for a soft, thick and supple pile that can withstand high traffic and will last generations. The overall pattern is a series of intricate repeating geometric and floral motifs that fill almost every inch of the rug. The ebony backdrop is host to a taupe trellis-like pattern that anchors the overall design and is adorned with accents in an ombre-like effect that moves from blues to pinks as you travel across the runner. Dusty rose, salmon, shell pink, carnation pink, camel and teal give way to hunter green, azure blue, charcoal, silver, heather blue and sea green. There are countless other colors in this design, all made from only vegetable and other natural dyes. You can get lost in the colors and details. The borders have a complementary flower and vine motif on an ivory backdrop surrounded by thin ribbons of burgundy. This runner has some areas of light distress where the colors run into another, which makes it a great deal! Size: 3'7"x9'9"
