This handmade vintage Persian Hamedan runner has a stunning tribal and floral medallion design. It is in mint condition, handmade in the 1970s. The background is a watermelon color with coral undertones. The central medallion within a medallion is a snowflake-like flower on a diamond ivory background, on which you can see the elegant shades of carnation pink, bone, taupe, pale yellow and azure blue accents. The intricate designs are lattice-like and geometric with tribal floral motifs throughout and charming tiny silver and blue birds among the flowers. Shades of sapphire, turquoise, ballet slipper, moss, peach, silver and countless other colors are hand-knotted, framed by ivory corners which create a lightness to the rug. The colorful accents continue in the borders with detailed geometric designs in all of the rich colors named above, all made from only vegetable and other natural dyes. This very special runner is handmade with a full, dense pile that can withstand high traffic and will last generations. Size: 4'10"x11'5"
