This is a truly stunning vintage handmade tribal Persian Hamedan runner. Hand-knotted in the 1980s, this runner is made of fine quality wool, with a notably soft and full pile that is great for high traffic and will last generations. The runner is iheather gray, n mint condition and hand-knotted with a high knot count or KPSI (knots per square inch) for very fine and crisp lines. The bold geometric medallion pattern that runs the length of the runner is handwoven in vivid colors that seem to burst from the rug, made of only natural and vegetable dyes. Candy apple red is the backdrop for details in lavender, sapphire, pale orange, heather gray, burgundy, midnight blue and ivory, just some of the amazing colors that create the tribal designs that adorn the rug. The border is a special part of this piece, with royal blue diamonds with an orange edge leading to a series of thin rows of charming geometric motifs and tribal flowers on sapphire and royal blue. This runner really makes a statement and is heavenly underfoot! Size: 3'7"x9'9"
