This vintage handmade Persian Hamedan runner is a colorful gem. The tribal, intricate geometric allover design has colorful small details in lattice-like and nomadic motifs. Hand-knotted in the 1980's, this rug is in mint condition. The incredibly thick and soft, full pile is cushy underfoot and the sturdy village weave is great for high traffic areas. This runner will stand the test of time and last generations. The strawberry red backdrop creates a lush carpet for the fern green allover lattice-like pattern, interconnected and intertwined with countless intricate small tribal motifs in orange, carnation pink, sapphire blue, lavender, copper, purple, aquamarine, navy blue, rose and other vivid colors, all made from only vegetable and other natural dyes. The border is a happy colorful tribal repeat in all the colors of the rug, framed by two thin copper and pink ribbons.
