This handmade vintage Persian Hamedan runner is both floral and tribal and has incredibly rich colors made from only vegetable and other natural dyes. It was hand-knotted in the 1980s and is in mint condition. The rug's intricate floral designs revolve around a delicate central floral medallion of shell pink and white with colorful flower details throughout, echoed by the beautiful matching corners. The backdrop is a rich cherry red and the beautiful floral sprays and bouquets that fill the open field are hand-knotted with pops of color in a fantastic array of colors - lavender, spearmint green, camel, midnight blue, cornflower blue and other colors. There is a charming urn full of flowers at either end of the runner, and all of this is framed by colorful ribbons of repeating small motifs- a white row with a sweet flower and vine design in pink and greens is surrounded by thin rows of sapphire with pink and green repeating polka dots. This runner is handmade with a full, sturdy pile that can withstand high traffic and will last generations. Size: 3'7"x9'7"
