This handmade vintage Persian Hamedan runner has an allover tribal and geometric intricate design.  It is in mint condition, handmade in the 1980s.  The background is a soft watermelon red color that slowly transforms into lighter shades in some areas due to abrash, the natural variation that occurs in vintage rugs handmade with vegetable dyes.  The intricate allover geometric design is hand-knotted with sage green tribal diamond-like shapes known as "guls" which usually represent natural elements such as lakes or mountains.  Small details in rustic colors adorn the allover pattern in colors such as sand, orange, shell pink, champagne, sand and silver, punctuated by white and black.  The colorful accents continue in the borders, with ribbons of pink framing the black border and its floral details in all of these colors and more.  This runner is handmade with a full pile that can withstand high traffic and will last generations.  Size: 3'8"x10'4"
