This is a bold and beautiful fine quality vintage handmade tribal Persian Hamedan runner.  Hand-knotted in the 1990s, this runner is made of fine quality wool and has a soft full pile that is great for high traffic and will last generations.  The runner is hand-knotted with a bold geometric medallion pattern that runs the length of the runner in vivid colors that seem to burst from the rug's ivory accents. All colors are made of only natural and vegetable dyes.  Watermelon is the prominent color for the medallions, adorned with details in every shade of blue: royal blue, sky blue, azure blue, turquoise and midnight blue. Charming small flowers decorate the runner and repeat in the border in all of the colors of the rug with a plum colored vine against a royal blue backdrop.
