This fine quality vintage handmade Persian Hamedan runner was hand-knotted by expert tribal weavers using fine quality wool and only natural dyes.  The classic bold geometric pattern runs the length of the runner with six interconnected medallions, each with the same rustic colors and geometric details.  The autumnal color palette consists of a beautiful shade of rosewood purple with a creamy ivory background and charming geometric flower accents in lavender, mocha, heather indigo blue, heather gray and plum, highlighted with black accents  Small tribal stars and other designs are interspersed among the flowers, symmetrically filling the landscape with color in every corner.  The cream colored backdrop lightens and brightens the runner, leading to a heather indigo clue border decorated with  geometric flowers in all of the rug's beautiful colors.  This runner has a full and sturdy pile that can withstand high traffic and will last for generations.  Note the leather strips sewn on the back to help keep the rug in place - a sign of fine quality for rugs from this region.  Size: 3'7"x9'6"
