Yellow Flowers

This handmade vintage Persian Hamedan runner was hand-knotted in the 1980s and is in mint condition.  The repeating intricate tribal paisley (known as boteh, an ancient precursor to the modern paisley) design is actually made up of many beautiful colors, like a pointillist painting, coming in to view as you get closer. The botehs are copper, midnight blue, rose pink and hunter green on a warm strawberry colored background.  The runner has an elegant ivory central medallion and ivory corners, which lighten and brighten the rug.  The medallion has a stunning floral bouquet in rich and vibrant shades of tangerine, coral, pink, turquoise, purple, hunter green and sky blue.  The border is perhaps the most intriguing and special part of the rug, a colorful frame in copper with an intricate geometric floral and vine garland in all of the same brilliant colors as the medallion, framed by thin rows of pink and green triangles and colorful small geometric motifs.  All colors are made from only vegetable and other natural dyes.  This runner is perfect for high traffic areas and anywhere you want to add color and softness and style underfoot.  This rug has a soft thick pile that will last generations.  Size:  4'6"x10'11"
