This vintage handmade Persian Hamedan runner is a colorful gem.  The tribal, intricate geometric allover design has colorful small floral details in lattice-like and nomadic motifs.  Hand-knotted in the 1980's, this rug is in mint condition.  The full pile and sturdy village weave is great for high traffic areas and this runner will last generations.   The rich ripe strawberry red backdrop has abrash, areas of natural color variation that are unique to handmade vintage rugs with vegetable dyes.  It creates a beautiful effect, where the red lightens naturally in some area. This lush carpet hosts a Carolina blue and sapphire blue allover lattice-like pattern, interconnected and intertwined with countless intricate small flowers and other motifs in peach, mint green, white, turquoise, midnight blue, burgundy, dusty rose and other vivid colors, all made from only vegetable and other natural dyes. The borders are happy ribbons of color and design. Mint green with teal peach and turquoise, and a ribbon of flowers in all the colors of the runner.   Size: 3'8"x10'4"
