This handmade vintage Persian Hamedan runner is both floral and tribal with bold floral detailing and incredibly rich colors made from only vegetable and other natural dyes. It was hand-knotted in the 1980s and is in mint condition. The rug's intricate floral sprays fill the lustrous black open field, revolving around a delicate central medallion in a row of floral bouquets down the center of the runner. The ebony backdrop is a perfect setting for the elegant flowers hand-knotted in a beautiful array of delicious colors -lavender, soft pink, dusty rose, sangria, mint green, turquoise, lime green, sky blue, sea green, teal, lilac, rose, yellow, olive green and countless other colors. All of these floral bouquets are framed by a border of colorful and charming ribbons of repeating small flowers on gold and rose pink. This runner is handmade with a full, soft pile that can withstand high traffic and will last generations. Note there are some areas of abrash, the natural variation in dyes that occurs in vintage handmade rugs using natural dyes. See last photo for close-up. Size: 4'x9'6"
