This fine quality vintage Persian Hamedan runner was handmade with a tribal & geometric design, intricate floral details that fill the rug with pattern, and a soft sturdy pile. The rug is made with fine quality wool that is sturdy and great for high traffic areas and will continue to last generations. The brick red background hosts a highly detailed design of tiny flowers in black, charcoal and white. These fill the entire runner, including the series of three geometric medallions that run down the center of the rug, hand-knotted in royal blue, orange, and yellow or red and white. The border adds elegant and colorful elements to the rug, framing it with an intriguing geometric flower and vine motif in an unexpected rainbow of colors -- shell pink, royal blue, emerald green, bright yellow, copper, rust, turquoise, and bright white, all made from only vegetable and other natural dyes. Note that this runner has areas of abrash, the natural variation in color that occurs with vintage handmade rugs that use natural dyes. Size: 3'7"x9'5"
