This fine quality vintage Persian Hamedan runner was handmade with an allover tribal design in finely knotted intricate details that fill the rug with paisleys (or botehs, the ancient precursor to paisley), small flowers on the vine and other geometric motifs.  The rug is made with fine quality wool and a sturdy weave that is great for high traffic areas and will continue to last generations.  Watermelon is the background color for the highly detailed small floral and tribal motifs hand-knotted in truly beautiful and unique colors -- violet, lavender, orange, mint green, ballet slipper pink, carnation pink, lemon yellow,and countless other colors that really pop. The border is just as spectacular, with a golden frame of colorful charming flowers on the vine surrounded by two violet rows brightly colored paisleys.  All colors are made from only vegetable and other natural dyes.  Size: 3'7"x9'9"
