Handmade and vintage, this fine quality Persian Hamedan runner is both floral and tribal and woven with a dramatic and hard to find ebony background.  The incredibly rich colors that fill the rug with beautiful floral patterns are made from only vegetable and other natural dyes. Made in the 1980s, it is in mint condition.  The intricate floral sprays and bouquets fill the lustrous black open field, revolving around a delicate watermelon central floral medallion with turquoise and violet petals, moss green, white and taupe details. The corners are are also watermelon and violet, colors that continue throughout the pattern, along with shell pink, dusty rose, fruit punch, sea green, pale peach, rust, burgundy, turquoise, french rose, and countless other colors. All of this is framed by a border of colorful ribbons of repeating small charming flower and vine motifs.  This runner is handmade with a full, soft and supple pile that can withstand high traffic and will last generations.
