This beautiful handmade vintage Persian Hamedan runner was hand-knotted in the 1980s and is mint condition. The intricate tribal and floral design fills the salmon/coral open field and has an elegant golden ivory central medallion, along with charming floral and vine borders in the same color. The flowers, leaves and other details are woven in a wide array of neutral colors that harmonize beautifully with the warm backdrop -- ballet slipper pink, dusty rose, tea rose, steel blue, khaki, almond, chocolate, olive, taupe, burgundy, copper, walnut and countless other colors, which are all made from only vegetable and other natural dyes.  This runner has areas of abrash, the natural variation in color that occurs in handmade rugs using natural dyes. It is what makes the backdrop seem to shift in light from salmon to coral. The rug is handmade with a full pile that is soft underfoot, can withstand high traffic and will last generations.  Size: 3'6"x10'
