This fine quality vintage handmade tribal & floral Persian Hamedan runner is softer than any rug I have ever walked on - the thick, supple pile feels like pillows underfoot. It is great for high traffic and it will last generations. Hand-knotted by tribal village weavers in the 1980s, this runner is in mint condition and made with superior craftsmanship. The bold geometric medallion central pattern is handwoven in vivid colors made of only natural and vegetable dyes. What appear to be geometric shapes from afar are in fact small flowers that are laid out like candies in periwinkle blue, rustic orange, goldenrod, coral, hunter green, teal, pale pink, rust, chocolate, yellow, sapphire and countless other colors. They rest against a midnight blue, watermelon and cherry ice backdrop. White detailing adds brightness to the design, and multiple ribbons of border with their own colorful motifs frame this stunning rug. Note the beautiful bird details that dot the landscape. Size: 3'7"x10'4"
